Düşün's privacy architecture: why I don't keep questions
Enes Demirel
Questions written to Düşün are personal: work, fear, family. So the architectural decision was clear from day one: the questions belong to no one.
History lives only on your device, hidden by default; "Clear" is one tap. On the server there is a short-lived, masked record that auto-deletes in 30 days — its only purpose is abuse prevention.
Even in the admin view, texts open masked; reading one requires a deliberate click. Defaults are ethics: the right behavior should be the effortless one.
Statistics are anonymous and aggregate only. Question data is never used for ad targeting — full stop. Trust is earned slowly and lost with one decision; this architecture exists so that decision never comes.
"Defaults are ethics."
